Hardigg introduces new Storm Case line of waterproof protective cases

Patent-pending latch design solves knuckle-busting problems.

SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. – Hardigg Cases has introduced a full line of rugged protective cases, called Storm Case, that has incorporated a proprietary latch design to solve the age-old problem of bruised knuckles.

The Storm Case line of injection-molded cases is designed to complement the full line of custom protective shipping cases already well known in the industrial marine and portable electronics marketplaces.

According to Bill Hamer, VP of Sales and Marketing at Hardigg, the line was developed in response to customer requests for a series of easy-to-use, equally durable cases for smaller equipment.

“As equipment has become smaller and increasingly sensitive, the need for durable protective cases ranging from briefcase sizes up to our standard shipping cases became obvious,” he says. “Our customers also told us if we could build a better latch than the conventional compression-type ‘knuckle-buster,’ that would be a huge advantage. And that’s just what we did.”
The company’s unique “Press & Pull” latches are both easy to operate and won’t pop open when dropped. The cases can adapt to a wide range of uses, including computers, test and measurement, and other sensitive equipment.

Available in ten sizes, the new Storm Cases are designed to transport sensitive, expensive or vital equipment in practically any environment and under extreme temperatures. The cases are rugged and lightweight, watertight, dent-resistant, shatter-resistant and virtually unbreakable. The cases are constructed from the company’s new HPX™ resin and are guaranteed for life.

Hardigg’s five decades of designing custom-fit interiors means the company can offer foam and panel-mount options for just about any use imaginable. In addition, a Vortex™ auto pressure release valve automatically adjusts internal case pressure to changing environments and won't unscrew from the case. The handles are soft-grip with a rigid core for added transporting comfort and strength. An optional panel-mount system with aluminum rails and sealed rivets provides superior equipment attachment and custom fit.

The Storm Cases come in ten sizes ranging from 13" x 9" x 6" to 29" x 18" x 10.5", while larger needs can be handled by Hardigg’s pre-existing roto-molded line. Storm Cases are available in three standard colors: black, gray and yellow, plus olive drab for military applications. Cubed foam lining and lid stays are available on all models, and bezel kits are available on most of the line.
Storm Cases are available now for quick delivery through dealers. For more information, contact Hardigg at (800) 542-7344 or visit the website, www.stormcase.com.
